An awareness camp was taken by us to make aware the artisans of Yalgud who are skilled in making the traditional kolhapuri Jewellery, the importance of Artisan card distributed by DC Handicrafts(Ministry of Textiles) and the facilities that will be availed by them with the help of this card like LIC policy, national and international exhibitions free of cost, scholarships to their children who are studying in the std from 9th to 12th,skill trainings,workshops,etc.We had submitted the forms duly filled with all the information required. After 3 months the cards were distributed to the respective artisans by us. And now these card holders can avail all the facilities which DC Handicrafts gives with the help of this card.
